Bideford Town Hard Backed Coaster
This coaster features a painting I did myself on my ipad of my hometown of Bideford. It is a handmade product which I make using the process of sublimation. Each coaster measures 9cm x 9cm and the total thickenss is 3.17mm. Bideford Town, known to locals as 'The Little White Town', a phrase used by Charles Kingsley in his book Westward Ho! The town was first recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086. It became an important port in the 13th century going on to be the third largest port by the 16th century. The two sides of the water were connected by the long bridge shown, which was built in 1474. Every arch on the bridge is a different size and gives the bridge its own uniqueness. My painting shows a little something of everything; the infamous long bridge, the characteristic buildings, the quay and not forgetting a glimpse of the Oldenburg, the passenger ferry which serves Lundy Island. Please note - due to the fact that monitors often display colour, contrast and brightness slightly differently, the print may appear slightly different to how it looks on your monitor. Shipping - all items will be carefully packaged and sent via The Royal Mail. All of the artwork is my own and is not to be copied or resold (c) JagosArt J.Jago
