I’ve finally found a little chunk of time to dedicate to my first blog post. It’s been a crazy few months, to say the least.

I left a job I loved in February, moved unexpectedly throughout April and have now finally begun to find my feet again in June. Sometimes in life, you have to make tough life choices, make decisions that you hope are the right ones and once you’ve made them you have to go with it and try your best to make them work out and I certainly am trying my best.

Now, my daughter; dog, two cats and I have begun a new chapter in our lives, one that involves living near the sea, a good decision right there!! and I’m pleased to say that despite a few setbacks and unforeseen difficulties that have arisen, so far it’s been pretty good!

In May I took part in a fayre at our local RHS Gardens. It was such a great experience. I loved seeing everyone’s reactions as they turned the corner and saw my bright and colourful artwork displayed. All generations loved a rather large Kingfisher Canvas I had on display, which found its way to a wonderful new home, and the younger generation, in particular, Ooooed and Ahhhhed at my kitten/puppy pet portraits.

I received a commission whilst attending the fayre and that is what I am working on at the moment- photo below. I am currently booked up for commissions throughout July, I only have one space left for September and I have started taking Christmas commissions too so I really can’t complain. I am lucky enough to be doing something I love, every day – long may it last!!
